We are now looking for our next Building Engineer for Cytiva's site in Uppsala. The role reports to the site property manager and is part of a team with 11 other employees working to ensure that the site's properties are utilized effectively. As a building engineer with us, you will be a key person in developing and maintaining our properties and production facilities. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure that our construction projects meet high standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and follow up on parallel construction projects on the site from idea to completion.
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on budget, on schedule, and in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Contribute technical expertise in construction technology and property maintenance.
  • Prepare renovation cases and set requirements for construction projects on behalf of the property department.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Relevant engineering education in construction or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in project management and construction processes, preferably in an industrial environment.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting drawings and creating sketches for new simpler construction details and solutions.
  • Proficient in using digital tools for administration (e.g., Office Suite, troubleshooting, and drawing systems).
  • Good communication skills in both Swedish and English, and experience working in cross-functional teams.

It is also a merit if you have experience in:

  • Previous experience in the medical technology or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in construction matters, renovations in existing properties of varying ages is a plus.
